Full program of the trip to Cairo

For a trip to Cairo from Hurghada, you will be picked up from the hotel where you are registered. Depending on the hotel, we will pick you up either from the hotel reception or from the hotel gate. (In some hotels, security does not allow local agencies to enter the hotel area). In the case of a small number of people from a given area, we will pick you up from the hotel by bus or car, BUT  for a trip from Hurghada to Cairo (Museum + pyramids) you usually travel by a large COACH . The trip will begin with a visit to the Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square. This is the “old museum”. The new museum is still closed. Most of the exhibits, including over 1,700 objects from Tutankhamun’s Tomb, including the golden mask of the pharaoh, are still located in this museum at Tahrir Square.

After visiting the Egyptian Museum, you will go to the pyramids in Giza. There you will be able to see the Great Pyramid of Cheops, the Middle Pyramid of Chephren, and the Small Pyramid of Menkaure, as well as the Sphinx. Entrance to the pyramids is additionally paid (more information on this here). Lunch during the Cairo tour is part of the package. Drinks during the tour are additionally paid.

After visiting the pyramids, the guide will take you to a perfumery under the pyramids, where you can smell and buy Egyptian oils. There is no market in the tour program, but you can also buy souvenirs under the pyramids or at the museum, although it is worth haggling hard with the sellers.

For those who want to take part in the trip, there is also a Nile cruise. The Nile cruise is an additional fee – $15 per person and is not a mandatory part of the trip, but people who do not take it wait for the rest of the group on the coach. Depending on the time of arrival in Cairo, sometimes the cruise takes place in the morning, as the first attraction, sometimes only later. But you can take advantage of this cruise on every trip to Cairo.

At the end of the tour we will take you back to your hotel. On the way back we also stop at a guesthouse. After arriving in Hurghada you sometimes change vehicles to make the transfer smoother.
